ATALIAN Hungary develops the ATALIAN Academy programme as part of its CSR strategy
In late 2014, ATALIAN Hungary launched an initiative called ATALIAN Academy as part of its CSR programme. The objective of this on-going project is to promote three main themes or modules. The programme is based on three main modules:
-
Learning is good!
-
Helping is good!
-
Being together is good – WE are the ATALIAN!
As part of the Learning is good! module, employees from ATALIAN Hungary are given the opportunity, in addition to courses organised by the Group, to participate in training courses to help develop their skills and ambitions. The aim of which is to open the door to emerging talents, whose progress and development might be hindered by financial difficulties.
ATALIAN Hungary believes that well-prepared, motivated colleagues serve as the foundation of success.
In the short term the programme will enrich the innovative intellectual capital of employees, whilst fostering dedicated and motivated team members who are able to set an example to others in the long term.
Successful candidates will serve as catalysts and promote the idea that anyone can benefit from a module that both strengthens competitiveness and team spirit. The programme is open to all staff, whether operating at headquarters or at client sites, on the basis that high quality FM services can only be achieved through cooperation and by promoting high activities with high added-value. ATALIAN Hungary believes that human relationships should be based on mutual respect and trust, especially in the workplace.
In order to set-up a fair and equitable work environment, it is important to enable staff to be aware of their legal rights and obligations. To ensure that work-related issues are answered adequately, a “Labour A-Z” was issued which includes examples and document samples that can help staff understand local labour laws. This document will be made available at all site and local HR and legal experts will offer training sessions on the subject.
Employees can also benefit from a free and anonymous telephone hotline to report any undue disadvantage or offense they might have suffered and seek counsel to help them deal with it. Thus ensuring that the highest level of management is informed and the issue is investigated, ensuring they comply with the principles of equal opportunity, non-discrimination and ethics.
Towards the end of 2016, ATALIAN Hungary is aiming to launch a mentoring programme where senior and middle management can provide technical assistance and support to their employees in their career development. At the same time, the subsidiary will also launch a professional series, the first conference of which will focus on professional cleaning services and be given by the most prominent experts in Hungary. Some of the workshops and interactive events will be available to clients and suppliers.
The Helping is good! Module of the ATALIAN Academy programme promotes business responsibility based on the basic principles; furthermore, in our workplace organization – beside the management’s dedication and example – ATALIAN Hungary wishes to actively involve all colleagues in the joy of giving and responsibility. The aim of this scheme is to support a colleague or community facing hardship. In 2015 ATALIAN Hungary supported a nursery school by providing them with sanitary products, toiletries, stationary, sports equipment and toys. Moreover, they presented another paediatric clinic with cleaning trolleys. The programme also helps colleagues’ access basic mental and health care as well as helps to fund disadvantaged families with children who cannot afford to go on holiday.
Our socially sensitive management feels responsible for certain situations, for example if a colleague needs basic health care or lacks any condition necessary for adequate health or mental care. As part of the conservation of basic values, ATALIAN Hungary wishes to express its commitment to the family as the basic unit of society. This is why, as part of the programme, this year they will fund the summer holiday of families with children who cannot afford to go away because of financial reasons.
The ‘Being together is good – WE are the ATALIAN!’ module serves to build a workplace community and improve the environment to enhance team spirit and a culture of trust.
Several times a year the Group organizes team building events for staff, where they have a chance to get to know and appreciate each other during games. As the Little Prince quoted in the programme’s motto “sits a little closer to the Fox each day”. The most cheerful, the funniest and most helpful colleague of the community is chosen by secret ballot. Besides Directors award employees with outstanding annual professional work.
We emphasize finding the right structure for the Colleagues to cooperate with mutual respect and support this process by all means. Such is our initiative “Endorphin as a present” – where colleagues surprise each other for birthdays or name days: our Group provides a chocolate fountain, chocolate biscuits and fruits for this purpose, while the colleague celebrates by offering extra attentions.
